1. What current technologies and tools fulfill your needs in your practice?


Messiah Studio, Unity, PC Hardware development platform, Photoshop, STEAM, Algorithmic substance, mobile games


2. What technologies do you see emerging in the next 5-10 years?


VR for the masses, 3D scanning and motion capture with low cost devices


3. Could you identify any strengths and weaknesses with these technologies?


Strengths – Immersion, cheap motion capture,

Weaknesses – expensive and hard to setup e.g. hand tracking, Difficult to clean up scans


FUTURE INTERESTS:


4. Do you think there are additional technologies or tools needed, or that you would wish for?


Cheaper motion capture & 3D scanning, more co-operation between big players to ensure compatibility

 

5. If these were available what would you be creating?


Higher fidelity games which compete with bigger companies


6. Can you see any strengths and weakness involved?


Strengths – reduced development costs

Weaknesses – more competition and unfair competition


7. What do you recommend to fill the gap between creators and technology providers?


Skilled managers to create multidisciplinary teams, technology tools to make creative more productive
Better cross-sector education avoiding silo mentality
